Q: What food should I feed my puppy?
A: We carry Science Diet brand dog foods, we recommend that you use the Science Diet puppy food or another good quality puppy food for one year. After your puppy is one year old you may switch to a quality adult dog food.
Q: Why should I have my pet's teeth cleaned?
A: When your pet's teeth have a build up of plaque and tarter it can cause infection in their gums, the same as humans. This infection can enter the blood steam and be very detrimental to their health.
Q. At what age should I spay or neuter my dog/cat?
A. We suggest that animals be sterilized between 5 and 6 months of age. This helps eliminate unwanted behavior from beginning and greatly reduces the chance of cancer.
Q. Heart worm prevention medicine seems expensive, does my pet really need it?
A. YES! Heart worm is transmitted from animal to animal through the bite of a mosquito. There is no easy way to keep your animal from being bitten even if it spends most of the time indoors. Heart worms are deadly if not treated and the treatment is much more expensive than the prevention and is also potentially life threatening.
